Millionaire Game Show Auditions

Breaking News! Millionaire Game Show Auditions begin May 17th in New York City. This is probably your best shot at snagging a spot in the hot seat. But if you miss your chance, take heart. You can still audition for Who Wants To Be a Millionaire by attending a taping.

But don't forget, you'll first need to pass a trivia test, so get studying. (On that note, if you're thinking about auditioning for Millionaire, you might enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at what goes on during a Millionaire audition.)

Critical Steps:

  • Schedule an audition in New York City. (More details below.) Or, hope like heck that Millionaire comes to your city during a nationwide contestant search.
  • Fill out a questionnaire that asks questions such as, "What would you do with a million dollars?"
  • Pass a multiple choice trivia test.
  • Charm the socks off, or at least amuse, the Millionaire staff.
  • Travel to New York City, at your own expense, for the actual taping.

Who Can Audition: You must be 18 older, a U.S. resident, never sat in the "hot seat" on either the network or syndicated Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and meet all eligibility requirements. For complete requirements please see the Millionaire Game Show's official rules.

General New York City Auditions: Regular Millionaire game show auditions take place during the Summer in New York City. But even if you miss your chance, you can still audition by attending a taping at their New York studios. Click here for more audition information, courtesy of the nice folks at Millionaire.

Auditions Across America: Millionaire takes auditions on the road, hoping to reach people who might not try their luck in New York. The good news is that you don't need to sign up ahead of time. The bad news is that lines can be very long, so you need to get there early. Stay tuned for updates on upcoming cities on Millionaire's audition list.

Wedding Week Auditions: If you're engaged to be married, this might be your big chance. Occasionally, Millionaire has a special Wedding Week, during which engaged couples play as a team. To be eligible, you and your future spouse must (1) Attend the same audition session and (2) pass the special Wedding Week Millionaire Audition. The audition consists of a test, which both parties must pass. Couples who pass the test will be interviewed in person by the Millionaire staff. To qualify, couples must still be engaged at time of taping. (And for Heaven's sake, don't break up AFTER the taping either.)
